yea but with the meda game the way it is people don't take those armies in all the tournaments. You'll see grey knights bloodangels Gaurd. 70% of the field will be 3+. And Tau are really good at killing 3+. I'm not going to say tht TAu are the best army but they are the one i love playing the most.

whats the best way to kill 3+ marines. since you dont take tanks you dont have blast thats ap 1. so what you mostly use to spam kill marines? are bloodangels good against tau or are they taking spam tanks and dreadnaughts now so its easier for you to deal with?

i think grey knights is one of the best but that is without saying i havent faced scooters tau with my grey knight gun line

i face chaos marines today and they were hard as %$@@ to kill lol. maybe my rolls were bad or bc he rolled 6s for all of his run moves after i killed his transports turn 1. but he destroyed my hqs. and won the game

yreally cant take it game by game you need to play a couple games with each list to see what your flavor is. Keep playing.

well why arnt chaos space marines played in tournaments?

they are good but vanilla marines have more stuff and their good stuff like oblits and plague marines are expenasive

I've seen chaos armies do really well it just depends on how you mix them with the Marked units and such.
